The Role:
As our Treasury Manager, you'll report directly to the Director of Financial Reporting and Treasury, overseeing crucial treasury and banking functions for the department. Your responsibilities will include managing payment runs, bank accounts, reconciliations, revenue receipting, and taxation affairs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervising and managing the Treasury unit's day-to-day operations.
- Leading the department's appropriation management function and cash forecasting.
- Providing high-level specialist advice on treasury, revenue, tax, and reconciliation issues.
- Promoting continuous improvement of team processes and compliance with legislation and policies.
- Identifying system improvements and liaising with relevant stakeholders for implementation.
Qualifications and Education:
- Sound knowledge of PGPA and the Government's Financial Management Framework.
- Good working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Recognized tertiary and/or professional accounting qualifications (CPA, CA, or IPA membership).
- A minimum of 4 years of financial accounting experience, preferably in a government or large commercial environment.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be Australian citizens. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.

This role can be based anywhere nationally in Australia for the right candidate with Federal government experience.
