ELICOS Trainer

Melbourne Metropolitan College located in the Melbourne city centre. We are looking for ELICOS teachers for our General English course. We have part-time positions.

In this role you will:

• Provide quality learner-centred ESL lessons for our General English Course.
• Assess students’ English language development and provide regular feedback
• Fulfil administrative tasks such as monitoring students’ attendance and completing progress reports
• Comply with the policies and practices outlined by the school
• Be professional and respectful to all staff and students
• Required skills and experience:
• Must have CELTA qualification or equivalent
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
• A strong work ethic
• Be culturally aware.
• A passion for teaching and engaging with students.
• Ability to work with students of different levels
• Ability to support and mentor students.
• Relevant IT knowledge (experience with online teaching is desirable)

Casual ESL teachers are paid under the relevant Modern Award per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
