Location: Kewdale, the customer will be moving to Embleton in July.
Flexible Availability: Usually Monday, Wednesday, Friday afternoons to early evenings, to accommodate our customer's busy schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Building a Meaningful Connection: As a Support Worker, your primary focus will be on building a strong and trusting relationship with our customer. She is a remarkable woman in her 40s with Autism, PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance), and ADHD and works 3 jobs. Your patience, empathy, and understanding will be crucial as you explore ways to support her and help her realise her full potential.
- Flexible Support: You'll work closely with our customer, adapting to her unique needs and preferences. Whether it's assisting with daily activities that you would ordinarily do in your home, assisting with organisation, engaging in meaningful conversations along with quiet periods, or providing emotional support, running errands, assisting with shopping, your flexibility and adaptability will be key.
- Cat Companionship: Our customer is a cat lover, and her feline friends play an essential role in her life. You'll need to be comfortable around cats and appreciate their company.
- Foster a warm and inclusive environment.
Requirements:
- Minimums: You will have or are willing to obtain – An NDIS Check – Completion of the NDIS training modules – A driver's license and reliable car – A reliable phone – Full COVID vaccinations - Flu vaccinations. A Certificate 3 in Individual Support would be highly considered, but not mandatory.
- Age and Experience: We're looking for someone around 40 years old (flexibility considered) who brings life experience and wisdom to the role.
- Patience and Understanding: Your patience and ability to understand and navigate the complexities of Autism, PDA, and ADHD are critical. You'll be a steady presence in our customer's life, helping her overcome challenges and celebrate achievements.
- Empathy and Compassion: A genuine heart for helping others is a must. Your compassion will make a difference every day.
- Strong Initiative: A self-starter who begins tasks independently, without needing prodding.
