The Opportunity As a Youth and Family Support Worker, you will work with at risk Aboriginal children, young people and their families to increase safety and wellbeing, in the areas of Family Support, child protection, children and young people in care.

You will also be responsible for: Identifying and building relationships with at risk children, young people and their families to increase their safety and wellbeing and protect them from abuse and harm, Providing support and advice to child protection workers to assist in increasing safety and wellbeing for at risk children, young people and their families who are open cases with the Department, Building relationships with children and young people in care to promote placement stability and assist in providing supports and services that increase safety and wellbeing. There is currently one [1] permanent position available for immediate filling. This pool recruitment process will be used to primarily fill positions based in the Fremantle and Rockingham District. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 12 months across the Department of Communities.
