About the RoleWe are actively looking for experienced Orderly's and PSAs to work in our fast-paced
Emergency Department. Shifts available PM - 1600 - Midnight and Overnight - Midnight - 0800.You will be part of a team responsible for providing the highest standards of cleanliness and efficient patient transportation to all areas of the hospital. The tasks include but are not limited to:
- Equipment cleaning and reporting of maintenance issues
- General Cleaning as required
- Transporting of patients using a bed mover (training provided onsite)
- Removal of soiled linen from the Emergency Department to the collection area
- Waste removal from the Emergency Department to the collection area
- Stocking of supplies
- Working outdoors at times as required
- Documentation - filling out of check lists and transport logs
- Following infection control principals
- Following OHS guidelines
- Some additional tasks in the hospital may be required overnight on occassion
Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times, you will maintain communication networks with nursing staff and other stakeholders ensuring quality outcomes are achieved for our patients.
