What You Will Be DoingA career as an
Emergency Response Operator can be very rewarding, the first few minutes of an emergency are critical, early help can save lives.The
Emergency Response Operators are customer focused individuals working across a 24-hour, 7-day rotating roster to provide an outstanding service responding to medical emergencies. They are able to work with a sense of urgency whilst remaining calm and focused during intense medical emergencies whilst taking detailed notes, the leadership to make a decision, and maintain a critical link between our clients, emergency services and client's families, and as such are a highly valued role within our organisation and community.Shifts rostered on 4 days on 4 days off basis.6.30am to 2.30pm
7.00am to 15.00 pm
8.00am to 16.00 pm
9.00am to 5.00pm
1pm to 9.00pm
3pm to 11pm
11pm to 7amOther shifts may be required.>
Key Responsibilities- Respond to Medical Emergency Alarm Events
- Respond to Lone Workers and Personal Duress alarm calls
- Conduct daily welfare checks for clients who have missed a daily call
- Respond to inbound calls to MePACS
- Determine the type of event reported and facilitate dispatch of appropriate services
- Maintain accurate notes in the internal database
- Contact clients and conduct testing of MePACS Alarm Pendants
What You NeedWe anticipate you will have:
- Level 1 First Aid Certificate prior to commencement
- Confident and positive verbal and written communication skills
- Touch typing
- Ability to work under pressure with competing demands within tight time schedules
- Available to work all shifts, dayshifts, afternoon shifts and night shifts across a 24 hour rotational roster
- This position requires specific compliance checks; you will need to be prepared to complete a NDIS Screening Check and receive a Clearance prior to commencement if successful
