We are One Peninsula Health.What You Will Be Doing MePACS is Personal Alarm Service operated by Peninsula Health providing call services to over 47,000 elderly, disabled or vulnerable members of the community to support their independence and safety in the home and community. The MePACS Emergency Response Service is the first point of contact for clients who are experiencing a medical emergency.A career as an Emergency Response Operator can be very rewarding, the first few minutes of an emergency are critical, early help can save lives.The Emergency Response Operators are customer focused individuals working across a 24-hour, 7-day roster to provide an outstanding service responding to medical emergencies. They are able to work with a sense of urgency whilst remaining calm and focused during medical emergencies whilst taking detailed notes, and maintaining a critical link between our clients, emergency services and client’s nominated contacts. This is a highly valued role within our organisation and our community.Available shifts may include:- 6.30am to 2.30pm- 7.00am to 3.00pm- 8.00am to 4.00pm- 9.00am to 5.00pm- 1pm to 9.00pm- 3pm to 11pm- 11pm to 7amKey Responsibilities• Respond to Medical Emergency Alarm Events• Respond to Lone Workers and Personal Duress alarm calls• Conduct daily welfare checks for clients who have missed a daily call• Respond to inbound calls to MePACS• Determine the type of event reported and facilitate dispatch of appropriate services• Maintain accurate notes in the internal database• Contact clients and conduct testing of MePACS Alarm PendantsWhat You NeedWe anticipate you will have:• Level 1 First Aid Certificate prior to commencement• Confident and positive verbal and written communication skills• Touch typing ability• Ability to work under pressure with competing demands within tight time schedules• Available to work dayshifts, afternoon shifts and / or night shifts• NDIS Worker Screening prior to commencementWhat NextIf you experience any issues signing in or registering, please feel welcome to contact us - the People Experience Team on (03) 9784 2700.
