About The Role
The Emergency Services Coordinator will be based at and support our Narrabri Coal Mining Operations by maintaining, supervising and monitoring the mines emergency and compliance procedures forming part of the mining operations.
Based in Narrabri NSW, this position will lead a team of Control Room Operators and will also be required to hold the statutory qualifications of Mine Deputy and Mine Fire Officer.
In return, the successful incumbent will be offered a competitive salary + super + annual bonus + 9 day fortnight.
What You’ll Do
- Undertake statutory inspections and monitor compliance in accordance with coal mining legislation (Deputy Certificate) and ensuring compliance with the Mine's WHS management system
- Act as a Deputy trainee mentor by providing workshops for Cert IV, Site Visit Preparation, Mock Orals and Mine Walk Arounds
- Assist in building capability of Mine Inexperienced Operators by performing spot log book audits, assisting in training plans and monitoring progress against such plans
- Proactively communicate, monitor, advise and report on the improvement and compliance towards WHS responsibilities
- Maintain mining standards in all areas including: Stone dust compliance, explosion barrier compliance, firefighting equipment and services compliance, lifeline/ self-escape compliance including Egress standards and plans, SCSR caches, CSE and lights allocation, Underground tag board and CABA equipment
- Manage Control Room Operators team by performing CRO rostering, training and attendance and ensuring that mine meets required standards. Perform CRO coverage as required.

- Mine Statutory Tickets as Mine Deputy and Mine Fire Officer
- Mine Dust Sampling qualifications
- Certificate IV in WHS
