The Role

This is a full-time permanent position working a 14 on, 14 off shift pattern on Day & Night shift roster rotations at a competitive rate, The role provides a variety of tasks which will require you to :

• Proactively contribute and work as part of an Emergency Services team on site

• Actively contribute to the site-specific daily function of the client’s emergency service and ensure a high standard of customer service delivery

• Contribute effectively to the development and maintenance of the client’s emergency service infrastructure, policies and protocols

• Uphold the ERS Health, Safety and Environmental expectations and those of our clients always

• Deliver our ERS values every day in every way

Qualifications and Requirements

• Cert III in Mines Emergency Response & Rescue (RII30715)

• Cert IV Healthcare (Ambulance) or higher (Desired)

• Certificate to Collect Specimens for Drug and Alcohol Testing (HLTPAT005)

• Heavy Rigid (HR) drivers’ licence to operate site fire appliances.

• Operate and maintain 4WD.

• Physically fit to perform the role; and

• National Police Clearance certificate (current to within 6 months of appointment)

Skills and Attributes

• A well-developed knowledge of, and experience in the application of Emergency Response Services within the mining sector or equivalent environment

• High standards of professional dress, hygiene, and PPE compliance

• Strong knowledge of mine site OHS policies and procedures

• High sense of responsibility and initiative

• Proficient in Microsoft office and emergency management systems

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
