As the Employer Engagement Officer, you will be part of a team that provides tailored employment related services to employers with the aim of sourcing employment opportunities for our job seekers. You will partner with employers to create suitable employment opportunities and place our young job seekers into employment.

This role will include:

• Networking face to face and building rapport with employers to build an employer pipeline.
• Partnering with the employer to identify their needs and provide tailored employment solutions.
• Reverse Market our young job seekers to employers and help secure employment opportunities.
• Providing guidance to the employers on labour market concepts, opportunities and employer incentives that are available.
• Knowing the caseload of job seekers on site so you can job match effectively to ensure a sustainable employment outcome.

This is a maximum term, full time contract with an immediate start til 1 September 2024

• You love meeting different people and enjoy that this role enables you to be out and about and face to face with employers. You understand the importance of building rapport face to face with employers so that you can partner with their business and provide solutions.
• You are acutely business savvy and have a solid understanding of the local labour market coupled with challenges to employment faced my disadvantaged young people.

Transition to Work (TtW) is the Australian Government’s youth specialist employment service that supports young people to develop practical skills to gain employment or connect with education or training. At yourtown, we understand everyone is unique – and so is their journey to finding work. We don’t just help with the job hunt. We provide tailored, youth-focused support for young people to get work, skills and practical help to transform their lives.
