The Role & The Firm
Our client is a major commercial law firm and due to growth, an influx of new work and new clients, this employment team is looking to recruit a talented employment lawyer at around 2 years to 6 years pae. Our is also opening to considering employments either side of this level.
The partners of this employment team are consistently ranked at the top of the legal tables and act for house-hold name employers, local & international clients, clients in a broad range of industry sectors e.g. finance & financial services, property, construction, energy & resources, retail, manufacturing, education. They also act for government agencies.
On a day to day basis, you will advise clients, appear before the Commission, go to Court, brief counsel, conduct seminars and workshops, prepare employment contracts and advise clients in relation to adverse actions, unfair dismissals, discrimination and bullying, modern awards, work safety.

About You
- You will be an employment lawyer with at least 2 years pae, lawyers working in-house or for an employer association will be looked on favourably
- Strong drafting and advisory skills
- Excellent technical skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high performing team
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and work under pressure
- Energy, drive and passion for employment law
