About the role
The ICT End User Compute Engineer works within the corporate function of HammondCare’s support team providing technical expertise to uplift technology focussing on End User Compute; device lifecycle management; technical expertise; SOE & Patching lifecycle and modern workplace.
This role is based at St Leonards and has working from home options with flexibility to work from other HammondCare sites if required.
Key Responsibilities include
- EUC Engineering Capability in the management of HammondCare EUC devices and related IT services, working alongside Senior EUC Engineer
- EUC services, including Office365, printing, mobility, etc
- Working with IT Leadership to develop and implement the EUC services strategy and roadmap
- Work with IT Service Management on the development and maintenance of an IT Service Catalogue and supporting processes (e.g. Asset management, etc.)
- Actively developing the automation of tasks carried out by the team with zero touch tools and processes
- Develop and maintain the organisations SOE capability for asset management, security, patch management, applications packaging and deployment, mobility device management, updating drivers and software updates
- Working closely with IT Operations to manage, maintain and enhance core infrastructure supporting EUC services
- Meet KPI targets set for the team for incidents, tasks and service requests
- Produce artefacts for knowledge sharing and train/mentor fellow employees
- Work collaboratively within the IT teams in HammondCare
About You
- Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and/or work experience
- Relevant technical certifications
- 3+ years as an EUC engineer in an Enterprise environment
- Experience with Mobile Device Management Platforms (Microsoft Intune) essential
- Solid understanding of ITIL principles and processes
- Highly experienced in administration, development and execution of Microsoft Office365 strategies for adoption and deployment
- Demonstrable SME technical expertise in Microsoft Office 365 platform and services
- Highly experienced in the development and management of desktop SOE
- Managing desktop Operating System and Application Patch Management
- Experience in managing and maintaining Microsoft SCCM infrastructure
- SME level knowledge of EUC hardware and Desktop Application platforms
- Strong documentation skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Superior interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills
Desirable
- Experienced in technical solution design and engineer of End User Compute services
- Demonstrable understanding of IT security principles and experience in secure configuration of EUC services
- PowerShell and Scripting skills highly desirable
- Microsoft Teams conferencing solutions, Video Conferencing technologies and IP Telephony Support (Cisco highly desirable)
- Strong understanding of network technologies, services and security principles
- Experience in leading and mentoring a technical team
- ITIL Foundations certification Desirable
