About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for an End User Computing Specialist to join our Central Functions line of business reporting to the Systems Administrator Lead. We are flexible in terms of location and will accept application from Adelaide – SA and Melbourne – VIC.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

You will be responsible for the development, deployment, maintenance and support of EUC systems and their management infrastructure. These systems include:

  • Endpoint devices and their associated operating systems
  • Endpoint agents and client side applications
  • Desktop and application virtualisation platforms
  • Enterprise security, threat protection and compliance management toolsets

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that the End User Computing environment and its management infrastructure meets the performance, reliability and security requirements of the business
  • Maintain a high level of customer service by undertaking incident and support request resolution, in line with documented service level expectations, for all systems within the EUC portfolio
  • Promote and maintain a high security posture through adherence and enhancement of existing security controls, ensuring compliance and continued accreditation for BAE corporate and classified networks
  • Package, deliver and support applications within the EUC environment effectively and efficiently
  • Owning the planning, design and implementation of EUC subsystems and managed devices, utilising vendor resources and best practice approaches to ensure architectural, customer and business requirements are met
  • Communicate and coordinate with vendors and support providers to resolve technical issues and to promote advanced solutions and strategies
  • Create and maintain documentation regarding configuration, process and standard operating procedures
  • Lead EUC engagement in Project and Delivery tasks as a technical SME
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering professional development and enhancing technical expertise within the team
  • Regular audits and detailed reports on EUC systems, ensuring compliance with requirements and identifying areas for improvement

About YOU

  • Relevant ICT or Engineering Degree or Diploma, or has minimum 3-5 year experience in an appropriate IT customer service/technical role
  • Relevant accreditation or demonstrated experience with current EUC managed services and infrastructure, such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft EntraID, Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft ATP, Microsoft MDM, CrowdStrike Cybersecurity and Airlock Application Whitelisting
  • Relevant accreditation or demonstrated experience with desktop virtualisation infrastructure, such as VMware Horizon or Citrix
  • Excellent level 2 and 3 troubleshooting skills and a consistent, analytical approach to problem solving
  • A high customer service level and continual improvement mindset
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in a large, diverse, multinational organisation
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain (NV2)
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
