About the role
We are seeking applications from Endorsed Enrolled Nurses to join our Nursing Support Unit (NSU). Shifts are predominantly allocated across our nine residential aged care facilities (Jack Lonsdale Lodge, James Thomas Court, Eureka Village Hostel, Geoffrey Cutter Centre, WB Messer, PS Hobson, Hailey House, Talbot Place and Bill Crawford Lodge) with some opportunities to work in Acute and Sub-Acute.
NSU staff have permanent hours and an electronic roster which advises shift locations. NSU staff are required to work across all Directorates; acute, sub-acute, and residential aged care settings to fill staffing shortfalls and unplanned high activity demands. NSU staff are required to work AM, PM and Night Duty shifts. NSU staff are required to input their shift requests into our electronic rostering system for review.
NSU allows you to enjoy the variety of working across all of our Directorates whilst maintaining a permanent position.

To be considered for this role you must be living in the Ballarat region.
You will be required to provide 2 referees, one being your current direct manager and the second another manager / supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient care for a diverse range of residents in varied care settings
- Participate in the provision of resident focused, holistic care
- Provide accurate and timely communication with the team regarding resident health status
- Documentation and updating of care plans
- Communication with residents, visitors and staff at all levels within Grampians Health
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive, resident focussed outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to function within a team
- Participate in annual performance reviews
- Commitment to ongoing mandatory education
- Registration as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA and hold a current Practicing Certificate
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
- Current Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills, commensurate with experience

All employees must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required, which at a minimum is a surgical mask. Additional PPE requirements are role-dependent.
This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024. The classification is Enrolled Nurse Grade 2 (IB68 - IB72). The classification is Enrolled Nurse Grade 2 (IB68 - IB72) which ranges from $32.85 - $34.95 per hour.
