Position Summary
We are seeking a Project Officer to work as a part of UnitingCare’s Financial Resilience and Wellbeing Service to support the program to deliver key strategic initiatives and innovations.
The Opportunity
The Project Officer will utilise project management methodologies to ensure assigned projects are established for success and achieve the stated outcomes within the timescales. This role will be instrumental in supporting the State-wide Operations Manager to drive key allocated priority initiatives as set by the FRW leadership team.
This is a full-time role, 76 hours per fortnight on a maximum term contract ending 30 June 2023. This position is to preferably be based in Chermside, however there is some flexibility on location for the right candidate.
What you'll need
We are seeking someone who has substantial experience in working in project management with the ability to plan work activities and subsequent written reports. Supplementing this, you will present with the following:
Essential
- Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Community Services, Human Services, Social Work or Psychology)
- Proven ability in planning and delivering projects involving change for staff and community members.
- Experience in community engagement processes, including the coordination of a communication and engagement strategy
- Demonstrated professional credibility, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues to positively influence outcomes.
- Proven ability to research and analyse information, identify interrelationships and make recommendations based on relevant evidence.
- Positive Blue Card (Paid)
- Project Management Qualification
- Experience in the management of projects in the community services sector.
- Knowledge and/or experience working within community services/financial counselling.
