Your New Role
This role will see you advising on some of Australia's most high profile M&A matters and drafting regulatory, general commercial, land access, and native title advice, negotiating related agreements and conducting associated litigation on some of the most significant projects in Australia.
You will service both Australian and International clients across the lifecycle of their projects including managing their energy transition and work on first of its kind energy transition projects. You will be able to act for private and government clients and traditional owners.
The work mix will be both varied and interesting with exposure to cross border M&A and project development in the mining, gas, green infrastructure and clean energy areas (including pumped hydro, wind and solar generation, battery storage and hydrogen projects) and associated infrastructure including pipelines, transmission lines, port, and rail projects.

Your Skills Profile
  • 3-6 years PQE through to Senior Associate level with experience in corporate M&A, commercial or regulatory law;
  • Experience in the Energy and Resources industry, in particular in regards to clean energy, electricity, mining/commodities or oil and gas marketing, transportation, processing and joint venture arrangements, will be well regarded but not essential
  • Strong people skills; the ability to communicate and build a rapport with our clients
  • A willingness and desire to commit to potential client secondments to leading energy and resources clients
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate with impact to both internal contacts and external clients
  • A team player with strong time and project management skills
