UOM 6 – $96,459 - $104,413 per annum (pro rata for part-time) plus 17% super

About the Role
The Engagement and Development Coordinator for the Goulburn Valley Regional Training Hub (GVRTH) will support medical students and junior doctors interested in rural practice, improve rural training environments, and coordinate with local stakeholders to expand training opportunities for GPs and specialists. This role involves promoting rural career pathways in medicine, liaising with health students and trainees, and working closely with health services and community groups to enhance rural health training and professional development in the Goulburn Valley region.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identification of students and junior doctors with intent to practice rurally
  • Promoting new educational projects / programs of partner health services and programs in the GV region
  • Promoting regional/rural and remote education and resource materials to students and junior doctors
  • Developing inter-professional engagement activities, particularly with respect to aiding students and junior health professionals integrate with the local communities in which they are working/studying 

Who We Are Looking For
You will excel in stakeholder management and communication, with strong interpersonal skills and proven experience in building relationships and collaborating effectively. Your adaptability, willingness to learn, and ability to plan and manage multiple complex tasks under tight timeframes will be essential

You will also have:

  • Qualification in relevant field (teaching/education, health science, administration or management) or an equivalent combination of relevant experience in medical education/teaching setting, and/or education/training.
  • Understanding of issues and challenges of Junior Medical Officer’s roles
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate the implementation of research projects
  • A commitment to continuous improvement including the ability to make informed decisions, seek feedback and conduct reviews to achieve high quality outcomes that align with best practice

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
