We are seeking a passionate and driven Engagement and Placement Coordinator to join our dynamic team. 

Role Overview: 

The Engagement and Placement Coordinator will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining a pipeline of residents with funding for Specialist Disability Accommodation. This outcomes-driven position focuses on reducing vacancy rates across our SDA portfolio by fostering and managing relationships with key stakeholders, including potential residents, their families, support coordinators, Occupational Therapists and other relevant support partners supporting SDA participants looking for SDA housing options.

We are seeking a candidate based in Sydney who has the ability to travel within Greater Sydney and to our Newcastle Head Office when required. Travel to Queensland, Victoria and the ACT will also be required on an as-needed basis and these costs will be covered by Home in Place.

The successful candidate will be able to work from home, so a suitable home office set up will also be required.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential residents with SDA funding. 
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders such as NDIS participants, support coordinators, occupational therapists, supported independent living organisations, and advocacy groups. 
  • Conduct outreach activities, including networking events, workshops, and conferences to promote SDA options and attract potential residents. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition for new residents into our accommodations. 
  • Analyse market trends and identify opportunities to enhance our service offerings and attract new eligible residents 
  • Monitor and report on pipeline development, occupancy rates, and other key performance indicators. 
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce vacancy rates across the SDA portfolio. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to potential residents and their families throughout the application process. 
Essential criteria: 
  • Proven experience in relationship management and business development in the disability space (Supported Independent Living or Specialist Disability Accommodation)
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and Specialist Disability Accommodation funding mechanisms 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders
  • Outcomes-driven mindset with proven results in meeting and exceeding targets and other KPIs 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Travel and Outside Office Hours Work - it is a requirement of the position to attend events and other business activities outside of normal office hours as required
