Our Kindergarten Inclusion Support (KIS) program is the largest provider in Victoria, helping create inclusive environments for children with disabilities, developmental delays, or complex medical needs. We believe in providing genuine opportunities for every child to access and actively participate in kindergarten programs.
In our newly created role of Engagement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supervising and supporting our KIS Additional Assistants working in diverse kindergarten services across the local government areas of Brimbank, Hobson Bay, Maribyrnong, Melbourne, Melton, Moonee Valley and Wyndham.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting onsite visits to provide hands-on support.
- Offering guidance and assistance through email and phone communication.
- Facilitating "Chat n Chew" face-to-face sessions to foster collaboration and learning.
- Coordinating online professional development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

You will be supported and mentored by the KIS Program Manager, who will help you succeed in this new role and support you in planning and implementing the supervision and support program for our KIS Additional Assistants.
We offer a hybrid and flexible work environment. We focus on outputs and deliverables and are set up to work remotely (laptop, phone) or from one of our Uniting offices.

About you
You will have experience and be a role model for best practice in Early Childhood Education and have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or other relevant ACECQA recognised qualification.
You will also bring:
- A passion for working with others and seeing them thrive
- Strong communication and supervisory skills.
- Ability to travel for onsite visits.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Teams and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
