SalaryYou’ll be joining a small agency responsible for a range of financial and security services. Specifically you will be working in a newly formed section of the agency as part of the agency’s strategic agenda.
The Role:
You’ll be joining a small Strategic Communications team that is predominantly based in Melbourne and Adelaide. Reporting to the EL1, you will support and prepare social media content, media releases and respond to media enquiries.
You will also prepare communications strategies, and implement corporate communications as required.
This is an initial 6 month engagement with the view to be extended.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation and measurement of external communication strategies
- Develop material to support communications activities, including tailoring content to different external stakeholders and translating dense materials into plain English and visuals.
- Write and edit a range of external communication materials, including media releases, newsletter content, emails, social media posts and web content, and ensure content is useful, easy to understand and tailored to users’ needs.
- Manage the production of printed and online publications – including writing and editing content, working closely internal stakeholders and managing external contracts and suppliers (including editing and printing services).
Your Skills and Experience:
To be considered for this position you must have at least three years in an external communications role and further experience across the likes of social media and corporate communications.
Tertiary qualifications in a communications related field is essential for this position and applicants without a current and completed degree will not be considered.
