Play a pivotal role in elevating the Department of Management and Marketing's engagement activities through the delivery of high-quality support. Facilitate the development and execution of the department's engagement initiatives with precision and professionalism, cultivating fruitful relationships with industry partners and driving forward their mission of academic excellence and industry collaboration. Working closely with the Engagement team, you'll adeptly navigate complexities and effectively manage competing priorities, acting as the crucial link between intricate information and actionable strategies. - Supporting departmental research and teaching engagement initiatives, including facilitating industry collaborations, managing research activities, coordinating media outreach, and assisting with faculty liaison.
- Planning and execution of strategic engagement events (conferences and workshops) to strengthen industry partnerships.
- Providing high-level administrative support for departmental committees and advisory boards.
- Supporting continuous improvement of departmental services through collaboration and innovation.
You are a highly effective communicator and collaborator with excellent organisational and project management skills. You are adept at building rapport and fostering positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are comfortable navigating ambiguity with sound judgment and solving problems independently while working collaboratively to achieve departmental goals.You also have:
- A degree in a relevant discipline and demonstrated experience in an academic/professional environment, or an equivalent combination of relevant skills and experience.
- An understanding of the interrelationships between different organisational areas within a complex business. Knowledge of statutes, enterprise systems, administrative policies and processes.
- Demonstrated capacity to guarantee the punctual completion of projects and services, including adept planning, meeting deadlines, prioritising workloads, managing budgets, tracking project progress, and conducting project evaluations.
- Refined communication and interpersonal abilities, encompassing clarity in written and verbal presentations, persuasive negotiation skills, cultivation of positive professional relationships, and effective interaction with various stakeholders.
- A high level of initiative, independence, and drive, with a proven track record of identifying, developing, and implementing solutions to complex problems or seizing new improvement opportunities as needed.
