In this role, you will be responsible for leading, managing and setting the technical direction for a team of software engineers to design, craft, and maintain high quality software products and solutions that support our business operations and our requirements for handling business critical data.You will work closely with cross-functional, agile teams to identify and prioritise technical solutions and product features that are core to our business. You will help to drive and deliver the continued development of those technical solutions from concept to launch.ResponsibilitiesDesign, craft, and maintain software applications using our core development languages C# (.Net) and JavaScript / TypeScriptSupporting the team to plan and prioritise work in agile SprintsSupport and contribute to software architecture and solution design of data-intensive applicationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritise technical solutionsLead and assist with planning the development of technical solutions from concept to launchEnsuring the team's SLOs are being monitored and metMentor and coach a team of software engineersStay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologiesQualificationsRequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field7+ years of professional experience in software development2+ years in a technology focused leadership role where you have been directly responsible for the activities of other engineers, including their growth and developmentStrong programming skills in languages such as C# (.Net), JavaScript, TypeScript and PythonStrong software architecture and solution design skillsExperience building and running data-intensive applicationsExperience with Azure Cloud ServicesExperience with event-driven microservice architecturesExperience with agile software development methodologies (e.g. as part of a scrum team)Excellent communication and collaboration skillsNice-to-HaveExperience working with a fintech or with financial software developmentExperience with Kubernetes and DockerExperience with DevOps and CI/CD practices, such as continuous integration and deploymentFamiliarity and / or experience with SRE conceptsExperience building integrations with accounting software or similar servicesAdditional Information
