NABERS, administered by the NSW Government, is a leading national program providing sustainability ratings for commercial buildings. Primary Purpose of the Role:
Join our dynamic Sector Engagement team within the Market Development branch of NABERS. As a Sector Engagement Technical Officer, you will play a crucial role in driving engagement with stakeholders and the broader industry community to increase the adoption of NABERS ratings. This role involves collaborative work within and across teams, focusing on technical operations, customer support, and engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute stakeholder engagement campaigns and activities, including communications campaigns, webinars, and in-person events.
- Provide timely responses to external queries about the NABERS program, contributing to engagement strategy development.
- Develop materials for internal and external use to support engagement efforts.
- Become proficient in the technical details and rules for various sector tools within NABERS.
- Conduct monthly level 1 rating audits and desktop audits to certify NABERS ratings submitted by accredited assessors.
- Manage NABERS Inbox enquiries, providing technical support to accredited assessors and assisting building owners, managers, and tenants in rating the environmental performance of their facilities.
We're Looking for Someone With:
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- IAP2 Certification or substantial experience in management of complex communications and/or engagement initiatives.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, outreach, customer support.
- Strong project management skills in program delivery, and problem-solving abilities.
- Background sustainability consulting and the built environment industry.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Hold Australian citizenship or permanent residency is a must.
