About The Role
We have a 12 month opportunity for an Engineer Dams based in Leederville joining our engineering team. You’ll undertake engineering works to assist in the provision of quality planning, design, construction and commissioning coordination services on projects across WA. This role is based in our Leederville office, reporting to the Team Leader – Dams Design.
What The Role Will Involve
- Undertake the role of Design Manager for assigned projects and review outputs and performance for conformity to agreed requirements, standards, time and cost
- Undertake dam safety inspections, comprehensive dam surveillance reviews, dam safety reviews and provide dam safety management advice
- Plan and manage the delivery of designs and reports for the solution and engineering problems using in-house or external resources
- Prepare briefs for engagement of consultants; evaluate consultant proposals and makes recommendations
- Ensure that the design, and ongoing monitoring of design of consulting engineers is within agreed time and budget constraints and incorporates current good practice
- Manage the preparation of tender documents and undertake tender analysis
- Provide advice to and liaise with internal customers, external suppliers, service agencies, consultants, industry regulators and agencies in relation to dams engineering
