About the roleWe have a 12 month opportunity for an Engineer Dams based in Leederville joining our engineering team. You’ll undertakeengineering works to assist in the provision of quality planning, design, construction and commissioning coordination services on projects across WA. This role is based in our Leederville office, reporting to the Team Leader – Dams Design. What the role will involveUndertake the role of Design Manager for assigned projects and review outputs and performance for conformity to agreed requirements, standards, time and costUndertake dam safety inspections, comprehensive dam surveillance reviews, dam safety reviews and provide dam safety management advicePlan and manage the delivery of designs and reports for the solution and engineering problems using in-house or external resourcesPrepare briefs for engagement of consultants; evaluate consultant proposals and makes recommendationsEnsure that the design, and ongoing monitoring of design of consulting engineers is within agreed time and budget constraints and incorporates current good practiceManage the preparation of tender documents and undertake tender analysisProvide advice to and liaise with internal customers, external suppliers, service agencies, consultants, industry regulators and agencies in relation to dams engineering Key skills and experienceYou’ll have qualifications in a civil engineering discipline, along with water engineering experience, dam engineering and dam safety management. Your knowledge of engineering design, investigation and the ability to collaborate and influence key stakeholders will ensure success in this role.
