Where you'll be working
Royal North Shore Hospital
The Laboratory is a 6 bed state-of-the-art facility at Royal North Shore Hospital, a tertiary teaching hospital of Sydney University. We provide a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment service, encompassing polysomnography, non-invasive ventilation (CPAP/BiLevel PAP) and specialty daytime studies (MSLT/MWT) for 1400 patients annually. The laboratory is NATA-certified, fully accredited for advanced medical specialty training, and is recognized for its innovative research, development, training and quality management programes.
What you'll be doing
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Background in a health related discipline (e.g. nursing, medical science, sleep and/or EEG technology) and/or currently working towards completing a qualification in a related discipline, or a combination of work and study.
- An understanding of, and interest in, human physiology (sleep and respiratory physiology) and the use and application of clinical monitoring techniques & equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake and complete tasks with minimal supervision and work successfully in a multidisciplinary team environment; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
