As a Signal Engineer within this team, you will be involved in the setting up and maintenance of Interlocking Simulator Equipment.
You will work closely with our Principles Test Engineers to assist with Offsite and Onsite Principles Testing Activities.
Assist with Interlocking Simulator Setup and Maintenance and aid with these Principles Testing Activities.
Provide technical support and advice to QR's Major Project Integration team as well as our regional based and SEQ business as usual projects, with the support from Senior and Principal Engineers within the team.
About you:
- You may have basic knowledge of with various forms of Processor Based Interlockings and Simulators.
- Have some experience in programming and software while also understanding the requirements of various embedded systems.
- Basic understanding of Signal Design and Testing and Commissioning activities.
- Graduate or entry level Engineer who has a background in Signalling or Electronic Systems.
- Be able to embrace some of our latest technologies and methodologies as well as keeping up with industry trends.
- Strong approach to initiative and problem-solving with great verbal and written communication skills, you'll often be writing reports or collaborating with other Engineering, Projects and maintenance teams.
Bachelor Engineering Electrical/Electronic or Queensland Rail accepted equivalent degree.
Professional engineering qualifications must be recognised under the Washington Accord or demonstrated by 'an entry to practice competently' having been awarded to you by Engineers Australia.
