Engineering Lead

The Engineering Lead will be at the forefront of providing technical leadership and innovation across engineering operations in Australia. This senior position offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to key defence programs, collaborating with top-tier professionals and senior defence personnel on a global scale.Your Role:Technical Leadership: You will take charge of the technical direction, assessing design options, change proposals, and leading the technical decision-making process.Collaboration: Work closely with the Product Architect, technical experts, and the design authority to ensure our design approaches meet the highest technical standards.Innovation: Spearhead the development of new design techniques, technologies, as well as process and quality enhancements to foster continuous improvement.Strategic Thinking: Ensure the systematic conversion of customer requirements into comprehensive systems solutions, considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor degree in a related engineering field
• Demonstrated technical leadership in engineering projects, covering product development of complex systems.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively in a professional team environment.
• Experience representing the organization as a technical expert in internal/external meetings.
• Strong leadership skills; adept at making technical decisions and mentoring team members.
• Expertise in C4i systems within a Defence context, particularly Tactical Data Links.
• Comprehensive experience as a systems engineer across the development process, including requirements capture, design, integration, and verification/validation.
• Familiarity with engineering development in agile and DEVSECOPS environments.
