The role:
Play a part in increasing Akaysha Energy's Power Systems capability whilst working closely with the wider engineering pillar across a portfolio of projects, as we look to further internalize our ability to conduct GPS studies and applications. With direct reports, you'll take responsibility for their development and contribute to building our team, as Akaysha continues to grow.
In joining Akaysha you're joining a developer at the forefront of the BESS industry, you'll have the opportunity to work on the latest technology when it comes to Grid forming and following inverters.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Solving Power Systems related issues provided by AEMO/NSP
- External relationship management AEMO/NSP/EPC/OEM
- Act as internal SME of Power Systems for internal stakeholders
- Ensuring preparation, review, and approval of R0, R1, and R2 package development to meet schedule dateline
- Managing direct reports, and mentoring junior staff members to increase our Power System team's internal capability
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
What you'll bring:
- You'll currently be employed as a Power Systems Engineer, in a Principal or Management capacity.
- 3-6 years Australian experience in power system
- Proficient in Power system modelling software PSSE, PSCAD, and Power factory
- Experience in GPS process (R0,R1 and R2)
- Experience in python programming (advantageous)
- Post graduation in Power system control and stability (advantageous)
