Senior Systems Engineer- Identity Management

We are in search of a skilled and dynamic Systems Engineer to represent all Active Directory and Identity projects with our client, a leading energy provider in Australia. This role is accountable for planning, implementing, and managing identity and access management solutions. Ideally, this role is suited for someone who is strategic, project-oriented, and has a deep understanding of identity platforms, including Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM). This hybrid role is split between the Melbourne cbd office (at least 1-2 days a week) and home-based working for a minimum contract duration of 3 months with a view to extending further up to 12 months.

• Administer and maintain identity and access management systems, including Office 365, Azure, and Azure AD.
• Implement identity solutions and configurations that align with security and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Office 365 Licensing Reclamation efforts.
• Play a pivotal role in the implementation and management of Windows 365 VDI solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot identity and access-related issues, providing timely resolution.
• Assist in the creation and enforcement of access control policies and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging identity and access technologies.
• Document configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8-10 years previous experience in a Senior Systems Administration, Senior Systems Engineer or similar role with proven experience in administering identity and access management systems
• A broad and demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft technologies, preferably in Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Ability to demonstrate Platform expertise and can talk across identity, platforms and solution.
• Knowledge of identity and access management best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• A commitment to staying updated with industry trends and technologies.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate are a plus.
