Your New Role:
As an Engineering Operations Manager, you will be the driving force behind implementing cutting-edge Operational Excellence planning, Overseeing Production, managing significant capital expenditure projects, and spearheading lean manufacturing initiatives. Your role is crucial in ensuring the continuous improvement, capital expenditure, minimizing downtime, and leading the charge in developing process improvement, cost reduction efforts and staff development.
What You Will Do:
- Craft and execute a comprehensive preventative Operational Excellence to bolster equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Oversee Production by managing a capable production team.
- Lead capital expenditure projects from inception to completion, guaranteeing they adhere to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
- Champion lean manufacturing initiatives, identifying and capitalizing on process improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide inspirational leadership to the Operational team, fostering an environment of growth, training, and high engagement.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to support and surpass production goals and objectives.
- Diligently manage operational costs, budgeting, and external contractor engagements while ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually elevate operational engineering and lean manufacturing processes.
Who You Are:
- A holder of a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Boasting at least 5 years of experience in a production engineering role within a manufacturing setting, including 2+ years in a leadership capacity.
- A proven track record in implementing preventative operational programs and overseeing capital expenditure projects.
- Deeply knowledgeable in lean manufacturing principles with a history of leading successful process improvement initiatives.
- An exceptional leader and team manager, capable of motivating and developing a high-performing operational team.
- Equipped with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, and proficient in operational management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
