What this opportunity involves:
Join JLL today as our Engineering Services Manager for a premium portfolio of assets in the heart of the CBD, with a total NLA of 63,636 sqm. The building management team do a fantastic job and comprises a GM, 2 x Finance Managers, Assistant Finance Manager, 2 x Engineering Services Supervisors, Commercial Manager, Retail Manager, Customer Relationship Manager and Concierge.
As our Engineering Services Manager, you will be responsible for providing hands-on management of all engineering systems and associated contractors to ensure optimal building performance.
A snapshot of the day-to-day duties.
Establish and maintain a sound professional relationship with our client
Maximise the performance of the portfolio in terms of sustainability and ensure NABERS energy and water targets are achieved
Provide a high level of service to building tenants
Ensure and manage WH&S and risk/ compliance with all relevant statutory authorities and enact sound engineering practices in relation to the maintenance of the property
Coordinate efficient management of all engineering property services
Contractor management and ensuring they comply with their contract terms, conditions and nominated scope of works
Prepare and manage property engineering and capital works budgets
Liaise with relevant tenants and stakeholders for any engineering matters related to base building
Before you apply it’s worth knowing what we are looking for:
Ideally you hold a professional qualification in Engineering (or a trade certificate HVAC, BMS, Electrical, Mechanical) supported by proven experience in the property industry and now you are ready to step up your career, working on high profile/ premium landmark assets!
You can read and interpret engineering documentation, and have a strong understanding of all the technical aspects relating to a building (chiller systems, mechanical and electrical systems, BMS, Fire, etc.)
Having the ability to be proactive and identify potential risks through compliance with WH&S is essential. You keep on top of things and can also oversee budgets, cut operational costs, and incur savings during the process.
Effective communication skills will be critical to your success, and you work well in a fast-paced environment.
