The SMT Engineer is responsible for determining operations to produce products and develop processes to ensure quality, cost, efficiency and safety requirements are met.

Your responsibilities will include:
- The SMT engineer is responsible for programming all SMT equipment.
- Assisting in identify and rectifying process defects improving overall First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Provides technical support to Operations and Product Design Group as required for process and product issue.
- Assist in the training of team, in quality control and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Administers and ensures compliance with current safety policies.
You will require the following skills and experience to be successful:
- Engineering Degree (EE, ME, or Engineering Technology) or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience preferably in SMT / PCBA
- Experience with Yamaha Pick & Place machine, SPI, AOI, Stencil Printer and Reflow Oven is preferred
- Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 Solder Requirements – IPC Solder Certification is highly regarded
- Maintain and write work instructions, control plans, process flow, and process failure modes effects analysis documents
- Ability to interpret engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, change orders
