We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Asset Engineer to join the Engineering and Technical Services team. As a Senior Asset Engineer you will get to lead Council’s asset management processes for the delivery of services to the community including:
- Asset assessment, management and service planning
- Managing the asset management system and processes
- Asset accounting
- Capital works programming, budgeting and reporting
- Contribute to maintenance planning and budgeting
- Project initiation for asset renewal projects
- Contribute to planning and scoping for new assets.
What we offer...
- Permanent full time, 35 hours per week
- Annual salary from $88,433.28 to $104,601.64 (salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)
- Plus 11% superannuation
- Plus 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance

What you'll need to be successful in the role...
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Asset Management or related discipline.
- Strong research, data collection and analytical skills and ability to develop asset related plans, programs and policies.
- Comprehensive understanding of integrated planning and reporting requirements and procedures in the local government context.
- Demonstrated considerable experience in infrastructure asset management and ability to prepare, critically analyse and manage budgets.
- Strong project management skills including the establishment and management of contracts with the ability to achieve strict deadlines for multiple projects whilst engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to use and present information effectively to inform strategic decision making to further innovation and continuous improvement.
- Competence with a range of programs including the MS Office suite and contemporary asset management information systems.
- Ability to build and sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience in the oversight and coordination of staff and resources.
