OpportunityAs an integral part of the Mine Technical Services team the Engineering Surveyor contributes to the completion of all non-mining related Survey tasks throughout all areas of the Boddington Site to ensure all spatial activities are either controlled or captured to the acceptable level of accuracy. Meaning all earthworks, construction, service installation, infrastructure, data capture, etc has sufficient survey control to accurately complete the task.  
 

Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all activity outside of the mine is controlled and any new services, infrastructure, control points are captured and supplied to the relevant technical department.
  • Provide spatial control to any project which may arise throughout the site.  Including but not limited to the process plant, RDA, campsite, regional and surrounding areas.
  • Assist in developing and preparing the monthly End of Month reports
  • Developing of all Mine Survey Standard Operating Procedures and the subsequent training of the Graduate Mine Surveyors and Survey Technicians.

About You

We are seeking a self-motivated and proactive Surveyor who can work collaborate with a broad range of people whilst also working autonomously to achieve outcomes. You will bring with you:

  • Bachelor degree or Advanced Diploma in Survey 
  • Engineering Survey experience in large tonnage processing plants.  Experience with the use of UAV’s and laser scanners preferred.
  • Excellent prioritisation and problem solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills to listen, consult and negotiate 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, motivated to work with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Proactive personal commitment in regard to Safety, and Environmental and Social Responsibility practices
