This role is a member of a proactive and committed Mine Technical Services team who are responsible for supporting the Mining Operations to ensure the business achieves its day-to-day objectives.You will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of Mine Surveyors and Technicians
- Contributing to Life of Mine Pit and Engineering Infrastructure Designs
- Overall Mine Pit Design dataset management and version control
- Developing and maintaining systems to ensure compliance of as-built designs to plan, including spatial and period reconciliations
- Participation in improvement of mine design standards and protocols
- Supporting the Team Lead Engineering and Mine Production to deliver and continually improve the Mine Plan Designs and their final completion
- Survey, Remote Sensing (drone) and Mine Design databases
- Supporting Transition of the Mine Technical Team to new Mine Engineering, Planning and Geology Software (Deswick)
This role would suit a skilled Mine Engineer or Surveyor looking to progress to a new Technical and Leadership challenge working in a diverse and dynamic team environment where safety is paramount.You will also have:
- Tertiary Qualification in Mine Engineering or Mine Surveying
- Grade 2 Authorised mine surveyors certificate (not essential)
- WA Quarry Managers Ticket (or ability/working towards)
- Mine Engineer or Survey Experience with Pit Design and Control activities
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a similar role in an open cut mining operation
- Re PL Drone Operators Certificate (not essential) & a current and valid Manual Driver’s Licence
