This outstanding Bio Tech company was formed in 2016 and has since revolutionised the delivery of existing and emerging cell-based therapies from the research laboratory to the patients' bedside. With a huge focus on innovation and next generation technology, this organisation is growing and is looking for an Engineering Team Lead to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for a team of 5 engineers on a daily basis.
Your role will involve guiding the Engineering Team in the progression of projects related to the research and development, evaluation and testing of biomedical equipment, products and software.
- Facilitate discussion and collaboration with various teams within the business to clarify product requirements and designs and to optimise project outcomes
- Guiding the Engineering Team and providing technical support to them when required
- Preparing project plans to ensure the efficient management and monitoring of projects
- Managing and overseeing the daily operation of biomedical equipment and technology and implementing changes to improve current operations and efficiency
- Managing the maintenance of biomedical equipment
- Developing, implementing and reviewing an Equipment Management Program, to ensure the companies' medical equipment and technology is wisely utilised
- Ensuring appropriate documentation is recorded and filed in accordance with the requirements of relevant engineering and quality standards
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a professional individual with a positive attitude, but you will also have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Biomedical is advantageous but also mechanical/electrical/refrigeration)
- 3+ years industry experience
- Experience in a leadership role - managing a team of engineers
- Solid understanding of design principles
- Excellent attention to detail, advanced analytical and conceptual skills and a commitment to quality improvement
What you'll get in return
In return for your expertise and hard-work, you will receive a competitive salary within the range of $130,000 - $145,000 + super per annum and an immediate start - allowing you to make an impact from day one!
