Engineering Technologist

About your role:
The Drake Group is currently embarking on an exciting period of transformation and growth and as such, our Engineering team are now accepting applications from experiencedEngineering Technologists to join our team based in Wacol! With over 40 years of experience, The Drake Group craft a diverse range of trailers, each meticulously designed to meet our customers unique needs.

Your key responsibilities:

• Review all engineering documentation and ensure works are executed accordingly
• Ensure designs are structurally sounds and fit for purpose
• Reconcile engineering and design errors and comissions
• Record authorised changes in scope of works
• Produce “As Built” drawings and record agreed progress of works

 
 What we are looking for: 

• Bachelor of Engineering, or equivalent
• Demonstrated mechanical design training/experience
• 5 years experience in Technical Design
• Relevant CAD software skills
• Stress/strain calculation, both manual and FEA
• Ability to deal with customer and supplier representatives
