Leading a small team of commercial professionals, this role is accountable for the strategic, commercial and operational management of a portfolio of customers in the Central Queensland Coal Network as well as being the key contact for some of Aurizon Network's largest customers.About the role:As part of a regulated monopoly infrastructure business, you will be adept at finding innovative customer solutions as well as managing risk and trade-offs between stakeholders with competing priorities.Customer and externally orientated, you will have the opportunity to work with every part of the business and lead your team to provide mutually beneficial outcomes for your customers and Aurizon Network. - Build, maintain and enhance strategic customer relationships across your portfolio of customers
- Lead multi-party stakeholder engagement and consultation both internally and externally
- Identify and lead strategic & process improvement projects across the Aurizon Network business
- Mentor and develop a team of Customer Account Mangers and Leads to enhance commercial excellence and support commercial talent retention at Aurizon
- Communicate customer requirements, issues and opportunities to interdependent teams
- Develop, maintain, and execute corridor account management plans and engagement strategies
- Accomplished leader with a track record of delivering results through others in the right way
- Highly resilient with the ability to thrive under pressure and handle competing demands
- Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation, presentation and written communication skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate and engage effectively
- Customer centric mindset with high level skills in the identification, specification and delivery of customer service in a large commercial organisation
- Financial literacy and commercial acumen with the capacity to analyse data for problem solving (data collection, organisation, analysis, interpretation, presentation).
- Advanced contract management skills, with an ability to provide clear instruction to legal specialists
- Experience in an infrastructure, utility or rail logistics business, and / or exposure to a regulated commercial environment will be highly regarded.
