About You

As an Engineering Trade Skills Assessor, you will be a key team member of the organisation,

Responsibilities

As an Engineering Trade Skills Assessor your responsibilities will include.

  • Conduct assessments of candidates seeking recognition of their skills and qualifications in the automotive trade. (relevant to qualifications of Assessor)
  • Ensure that assessments are conducted in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the development and review of assessment policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessment outcomes and candidate performance.
  • Collaborate with other assessors to ensure that assessments are consistent and fair.
  • Participate in professional development activities to maintain knowledge and skills in the automotive trade.
  • Provide regular reports to the Program Manager on assessment outcomes and candidate performance.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment and comply with occupational health and safety regulations.

To be suitable for this opportunity it is desirable that you are.

  • Qualified in an Engineering Trade Certificate III or IV (or equivalent)
  • Hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or be willing to complete it)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in an Automotive or Engineering trade.
  • Strong knowledge of Engineering trade practices, techniques, and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Current driver's license.
