We are seeking to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic teacher able to deliver subjects in English. This is a Permanent full-time (1.0 FTE) teaching role starting 29 July, 2024.
Applicants will be able to demonstrate a track record of:- Their students producing a range of high-quality work
- An ability to deliver safe and engaging lessons
- An understanding of key concepts and the ability to demonstrate practical techniques
- An awareness and ability to provide and manage a safe work environment
- Appropriate use of ICT
- An ability to develop self-efficacy in the students they teach
- A tertiary major in English literature and accreditation with NESA
- Willingness to teach Extension 1 and 2 stage 6 syllabus (highly desirable)
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Excellent ICT skills and willingness to develop ICT skills within an environment where students bring a personal device to school
- Willingness to carry out other duties as required by the Head of School that fall within the parameters of the role
- Provides references and Working with Children Documentation
- Supports the ethos and strategic direction of the school
- Ability to differentiate for a diverse group of non-selective students
- Ability to teach to the strengths of girls
