The role
As a leading provider of clinical and community education, SHQ is the perfect place for anyone with a desire to build their knowledge and confidence to support the sexual and reproductive health of a diverse range of clients.
We are seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse to provide support to SHQ clinicians with the managing, monitoring, reviewing, and following up of Pathology results, including liaising with the pathology provider and providing client support and clinician assistance during and post IUD insertions.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to develop their skills, work with a highly skilled clinical team, and improve sexual health and wellbeing outcomes for our clients.
Your Skills, Knowledge, Abilities and Experience
· Experience in a clinical setting.
· Working knowledge of pathology processes.
· Thorough knowledge of standard and transmission-based precautions and infection control principles.
· Demonstrated interest and/or experience in sexual or primary health care setting and demonstrated understanding of the sensitive nature of sexual health and the importance of confidentiality for people accessing the service.
· Intermediate computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
· High level data entry skills, with a particular focus on accuracy.
Your qualifications and/or other requirements
· Registered in Division 2 with APHRA.
- A current CPR certificate
- Minimum 3 years post registration experience.
· Current Working with Children Check.
· A National Police Clearance no older than 6 months from date of issue.
· Current certificate of immunisation and or evidence of immunity for (Hepatitis B, Influenza, Pertussis, Measles Mumps and Rubella, Varicella.
