The Community Care Team (CCT) provide multidisciplinary community mental health assessment and treatment services to adults affected by mental illness, their family/significant others and carers. The team focuses on a recovery-orientated approach, one that is person-centred, strengths based, collaborative and empowering. There is an emphasis on consumer choice, building resilience and enhancing opportunities for social inclusion and wellbeing.

About the role
This role will provide nursing care to mental health consumers in collaboration with other multidisciplinary health professionals under the supervision (direct or indirect) of Clinical Nursing staff.
The Enrolled Nurse Advanced Skill (ENAS) supports the coordination and delivery of essential clinics and supports a registered nurse in the provision of patient centred care as specified by registration requirements, NMBA standards and codes, educational preparation, relevant legislation and context of care.
The ENAS practises under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse assisting with the care and as delegated by the registered nurse. The ENAS will seek assistance and support in decision making from a registered nurse.

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Relevant clinical knowledge in mental health nursing.
- Experience in medication administration and the ability to monitor physical comorbidities in consumers experiencing mental illness.
- Consistently delivers a high level of service to consumers and carers demonstrating rapport building skills, listening skills and empathy.
- Willing to take instructions and guidance from other MDT members and a willingness to help and support others to contribute to the successful functioning of the team.
- Strong self-management skills, a commitment to nursing and flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes.
- Commitment to safety and quality processes and delivering evidence-based practices.
- Understanding of contemporary human resource practices including workplace health and safety, employment equity and anti-discrimination.
- Honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff.
Mandatory Requirements:

- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
