Enrolled Nurse - Clinical Trials

Linear Clinical Research is an internationally recognised clinical trial company which partners with world-class collaborators and sponsors to deliver life-changing therapies to patients and participants through early and advanced Clinical Trials across a broad range of therapeutic areas.Located at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, our state-of-the-art Advanced Cancer Trials Unit (ACTC) opened in early 2024 and is the first of its kind facility in Australia, dedicated to bringing novel therapies through Clinical Trials to cancer patients in WA. We are now looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Enrolled Nurse to join our team ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care.Job DescriptionYour role in our futureIn this role, you will work under the guidance and with the support of a Registered Nurse and will have access to training with performing clinical tasks helping you to increase your capacity working in Clinical Trials. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who desires a new challenge or wants to steer their career into a niche direction.A full list of responsibilities can be found on your job description however some of your duties will include;

• Provide general nursing, monitoring the wellbeing of patients, providing support to family members and liaising with the medical team, and taking appropriate action when necessary;
• Undertake direct patient care including education, and drug administration as per legislative requirements and company policy
• Effectively manage nursing patient load by performing clinical procedures, manage and record adverse events according to the approved protocol and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with the project team and RN's to support the development of accurate task pads and ensure duties are efficiently completed.

Conveniently located at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, this role will be offered on a full-time basis including both morning and afternoon shifts generally Monday - Friday.Your ExperienceThe successful candidate for this role will be passionate about ensuring the highest standard of patient care whilst contributing to nurturing medical breakthroughs within medical research. To develop optimally in this opportunity, you must have great attention to detail, be driven by excellence, have a 'can-do' attitude and be able to adhere to processes.Successful candidates must also meet the following requirements:

• Currently registered with AHPRA (with no restrictions)
• Minimum of 1 year post-graduation experience in an Endorsed Enrolled Nursing position.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• The ability to work as part of a high functioning team whilst taking direction from a Supervising RN.
• Good computer literacy with proficiency in using Google Apps, Word and Excel.
• Previous experience working in oncology or haematology (desirable)
• Clinical research experience (desirable)
