About The Opportunity
Fairfield Hospital are recruiting Enrolled Nurses to complement and enrich the current Emergency Department nursing team. This role will require participation in a 24/7 rotating roster including the possibility of 12-hour shifts commencing soon.
Our Emergency Department works around the clock with dedicated staff to provide quality care. We are an award winning department prepared to handle a variety of acute illnesses and health care emergencies for adults and children.
Each year Fairfield Hospital has over 35,000 presentations to the Emergency Department. We have a range of staff dedicated to providing the best possible care and service. We facilitate the transfers of patients into and out of the hospital through emergency admissions, booked admissions, and network transfers and out of hospital transfers.

What you'll be doing
The Enrolled Nurse works with the registered nurse or midwife as part of the health care team and demonstrates competence in the provision of safe, compassionate, quality person-centered care.

Fairfield hospital is located in one of NSW’s largest LGA’s and is a hub of diverse cultures, ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds.   • Current Authority to Practice as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), General with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated recent experience as an Enrolled Nurse in an environment appropriate to the relevant speciality.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
  • Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
  • Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care.
  • Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
