We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Enrolled Nurse to provide support to residents at Bethanie Gwelup Aged Care Home. Bethanie Gwelup is home to a 112 bed facility with secure dementia services, and has been designed, built and staffed to maximise our residents enjoyment and wellbeing.
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will provide hands-on care to residents while supporting and mentoring a multi-skilled team with a focus on learning and safety.
We currently have a permanent part time role available, working the following roster:
- Tuesdays 3pm - 11pm
- Wednesdays 11pm - 7.15am (night duty)
- Thursdays 11pm - 7.15am (night duty)
The Role
- Carrying out nursing care plans in consultation with and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Consulting with a Registered Nurse in planning care on a shift basis
- Implementing care plans as documented
- Assisting in assessing residents within the ACFI criteria and ensuring all documentation is up to date and in accordance with company requirements
- Communicating effectively with a variety of people and contributing to teamwork within the workplace
- Participating in continuing personal development and education
About You
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse
- Previous experience with dementia care would be an advantage
- Ability to work independently and professionally
- Ability to motivate staff and promote a positive work environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to a person-centred care approach when providing care services
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to apply for one
- Willingness to obtain any relevant vaccinations required
