About the role
Mater Private Hospital Townsville is currently searching for experienced Enrolled Nurses to join our medical unit.
The Medical Unit offers a variety of opportunities to care for patients that have specialised care needs. This includes rehabilitation, oncology, hematology and general medicine. The Medical Unit is a supportive team of nurses, doctors and allied health staff who together care for patients, carers and family whilst they are at Mater hospital.
Salary range: $34.84 - $37.10 per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging
What you'll be doing
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will provide high standard of patient centred nursing care under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse on duty. The Enrolled Nurse's core responsibilities are supporting patients in the activities of daily living, assisting in meeting basic human needs and recognising the normal and abnormal assessment, intervention and evaluation of patient health and functional status with ongoing communication with the Registered Nurse.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse Division 2 (without restriction)
• Preferred experience in medical nursing, you will receive orientation to the Medical Unit and given training and support.
• Available to work across all shifts.
• Commitment to excellence in nursing practice and professional development.
• Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
• The right to work in Australia.
