About the Role
As an Enrolled Nurse within the Neurology department at Gosford Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive care to patients with neurological conditions. Responsible for conducting initial assessments, monitoring vital signs, and administering prescribed medications, the Enrolled Nurse collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care. In addition to assisting with diagnostic procedures and providing education to patients and their families, the EN observes and documents changes in patients' conditions, reporting any concerns to registered nurses or physicians. The role involves offering emotional support, assisting with rehabilitation, and providing basic wound care, contributing to the overall well-being of individuals grappling with neurological challenges. Adhering to local nursing regulations and institutional policies, the Enrolled Nurse operates under the supervision of registered nurses and healthcare professionals, striving to enhance the quality of care within the Neurology department.
About You
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner regulation Agency as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) with a Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia approved qualification for administration of medication (including intravenous medication administration).
- Nursing knowledge and skills relevant to the position speciality
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills
