Requisition ID: REQ479984Applications Close: 13 May 2024What you'll be doingThe key responsibilities of the Enrolled Nurse is to provide nursing care for patients in a safe and competent manner. Nursing practice should reflect current knowledge of nursing and related disciplines and the philosophy of the Division of Nursing. The EN always works under the direction of the Registered Nurse.These positions work on a 7 day rotating roster, day, afternoon and night shifts including weekends.There are two positions available:
- Permanent Part Time
- Temporary Part Time until 13 April 2025 with the possibility of extension.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Enrolled Nurse.
- Recent clinical experience in a Day Surgery Unit or an acute care setting.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent knowledge of infection control/standard precautions and manual handling lifting and transfer techniques.
- Demonstrates an understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles and the role of the Enrolled Nurse in applying these principles.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Efficient with eMR and familiarity with Health Information Systems.
