Exciting opportunity to join Tweed Valley Hospital, a new, major referral hospital at the heart of the network of hospitals and health facilities across the Tweed-Byron region.
The new state of the art facility will include:
- more operating theatres and recovery spaces
- expanded emergency department
- enhanced medical, surgical, and mental health services
- enhanced ambulatory care services including more outpatient clinics
- new interventional cardiology service
- new radiotherapy service as part of a new integrated cancer care service.
Employment will commence at The Tweed Hospital in preparation for the transition to Tweed Valley Hospital (TVH), which will open to patients on 14 May 2024.

This position requires the successful candidate to work under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and assists in the provision of safe, evidence based, person centred nursing care in line with the policies, procedures and standards of the Ministry of Health (MoH) and other statutory authorities. Working in the Outpatient Department in various clinics with differing responsibilities in each. The specialties involved will include, but are not limited to Fracture, Pre-admission, Paediatrics and General Medicine/Young Adult Diabetic Service Clinics.
If you have/are:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2)
- Recent clinical experience in an outpatient department in an acute health environment with competencies or willingness to undertake competency in Basic Life Support, Paediatric Life Support, DETECT Adult and DETECT Junior and other qualifications relevant to role
